Guidelines to Parents

  1. Cooperation with School Authorities: Parents are expected to collaborate with school authorities by ensuring their children observe punctuality, regularity, and discipline, prepare their lessons diligently, and actively participate in school activities.
  2. Personal Attention Over Private Tuition: We firmly advocate for personal parental engagement in children’s education over private tuition. Parents are encouraged to invest time and attention in their children’s academic journey, fostering a stronger parent-child bond and ensuring guidance aligned with our school’s values. Private tuition can inadvertently increase academic pressure and lead to conflicting instructions, disrupting the unity of command vital for effective learning. We urge students to seek assistance from their school teachers, who are dedicated to providing the necessary support for academic challenges. Together, with a supportive home environment and open communication with teachers, we can ensure our students’ success both academically and personally.
  3. Regular Check of Handbook & Diary: Parents should regularly check the Handbook and Diary, sign any reports recorded by teachers, and review assignments and homework given.
  4. Engagement with School: Parents/guardians should maintain constant communication with the school to stay informed about their ward’s academic progress. Attendance at Parent-Teacher Meetings is essential for consulting with teachers regarding their children’s development.
  5. Appointments with Teachers: Parents are not allowed to interview teachers in the classroom or staff room without the principal’s permission. Those seeking information or suggestions should do so during Parent-Teacher Meetings. Complaints about children’s education or other matters should be directed to the principal, not the class teacher.
  6. Classroom Etiquette for Parents/Guardians: Parents/guardians should not enter classrooms during school hours or call teachers out of class. In case of necessity, they should contact the office.
  7. Medical Leave for Prolonged Absence: If a student is likely to be absent due to illness for an extended period, the principal must be informed within a week through a leave application supported by a Medical Certificate. Failure to do so will result in the child’s name being removed from the school roll.
  8. Promoting Positive Behaviour: The principal or teachers may take remedial measures to address undesirable behaviour patterns, such as habitual idleness, disobedience, or misconduct. Positive incentives and appraisals will be used to foster desired behaviour, including obedience, discipline, and a content personality.
  9. Respect for Teachers: Criticizing teachers in the presence of children must be avoided. In case of a legitimate complaint, the principal must be contacted.
  10. Training in Self-Help: Children should be encouraged to develop self-help skills by working and studying independently. They should be taught to keep their rooms neat and tidy, polish their shoes, and carry their bags. Developing such habits early in life will instil the dignity of work, essential for a successful career.
  11. Responsibility for Safety After School Hours: The school authorities are not responsible for a student’s safety after school hours. Necessary arrangements must be made to take children home immediately after school.
  12. Return Home if Unprepared: Students are obliged to return home during class hours if they fail to wear the school uniform, bring required books, obtain parental signatures on teacher’s remarks, or pay fees on time. The school assumes no responsibility in such cases.
  13. No Transactions During Holidays or After School Hours: No school business will be transacted during holidays or after school hours.
  14. Guardian Responsibility: The person who signs the student’s admission form will be responsible for contacting the school for Parent-Teacher Meetings or other purposes. If the student does not reside with their parents, the parents must introduce the guardian or person in charge to the principal. The school will not accept any other person to represent the guardian.
  15. Provision of Food Items:For the safety of students, parents and guardians are not permitted to provide food items to students during school hours. Students must bring their tiffin with them when they come to school. This measure ensures consistency in meal provisions and encourages students to be responsible for their meals.
  16. Prohibited Activities for Students:
    • Driving motorcycles/scooters or any other motor vehicles, even those without gears.
    • Bringing mobile phones, toys and playing equipment, costly items like jewellery, or money to school.
    • Parents should ensure these items are not provided to their children.
